When making preparations for what the future may throw at us, don’t forget to prepare the most important thing. Your mind. Prepare it for what you are willing to do to defend yourself, family, and country. Know how to mentally compartmentalize when faced with certain situations. Know how to access peace of mind no matter what. And practice, practice, practice.

Military veteran and NRA Life member. 5 kids, 2 grandchildren with another on the way, and am still head over heels, madly in love with my wife as the day I married her. Unfortunately she isn’t. She has asked for a divorce and my life is coming to an end. I just cannot picture growing old without her by my side. Every thought I have is the fact that she won’t be there anymore. No longer can I share with her the little everyday things in life that used to amuse us. No more weekend getaways at a moment’s notice. No more planning together what to get the grandkids for Christmas. Nothing. Just emptiness.
Sometimes I wonder
Do we really take the time to listen? Do we pause before hitting the send button for email or posting a comment? I find myself doing that more and more lately. As a result, I’ve found that instead of being so concerned about giving someone a piece of my mind, I can instead give myself some peace of mind. Just a thought.
One of These Days…
…( fill in the blank). I’m not sure when it happened, but instead of talking about all the things I was going to do but never got done, I started doing what was right in front of me.
Just an Observation
A smart man learns from his own mistakes. A wise man learns from the mistakes of others. A man that doesn’t learn from either is probably a liberal, far left democrat. If this just pissed you off, maybe it’s time you started learning!
